Vandemere, meaning "village by the sea," is actually a village by the bay; the Bay River.  About 25 miles long, the Bay River is centrally located in eastern North Carolina between the Pamlico and Neuse Rivers. Vandemere is also about three miles from the Atlantic Intracoastal Waterway.  The town offers a great family friendly environment along with a venue for awesome fishing and watercraft sports.
